PatientPop is now part of Tebra, so most "PatientPop reviews" searches today are really about Tebra's practice marketing. This page doesn't summarize review sites or score anyone. It sets out what Tebra publishes about its marketing, pricing and contract terms, who it fits, and how the alternatives differ by model.

PatientPop today: part of Tebra
In an April 2, 2024 release (opens in a new tab), Tebra said Kareo and PatientPop joined forces in 2021 to form Tebra, and that from April 2 the PatientPop website would no longer operate; visitors would be redirected to Tebra.com. When we checked on October 23, 2026, patientpop.com still redirected to tebra.com.
Tebra describes itself as a platform for independent practices, with five product areas (opens in a new tab): EHR, billing and payments, patient experience (scheduling, digital intake, reminders and messaging), practice marketing, and AI and automation.

What sets Tebra apart from a marketing-only vendor is the rest of the suite. Marketing sits next to its EHR, billing, online scheduling and patient messaging, so a booking made on a Tebra website can land in a Tebra schedule.
The search engine marketing page doesn't say how ad spend is billed or what management costs. Ask both questions in writing.
Pricing and contracts: what's public
Pricing. Tebra doesn't publish a price for its marketing or for any plan. Its pricing page (opens in a new tab) says pricing varies with the number of providers and the platform features your practice needs, and is typically tailored during the demo. The plans it names are Practice Automation, EHR+, Patient Experience + Marketing, EHR Starter and Billing Starter. The only dollar amounts on the page are for e-prescribing compliance items (EPCS setup and PDMP integration), not marketing.
Contract terms. Tebra's terms of service (opens in a new tab) (updated effective July 1, 2026) set these defaults; your order form sets the actual term:
- Term and renewal (8.1–8.2): the initial term is whatever your customer agreement specifies, and it renews automatically for equal terms unless written notice of non-renewal arrives at least 60 days before it ends.
- Early exit (8.5): "No Early Termination; No Refunds." Tebra doesn't refund fees if you stop using the service before the term ends.
- Your website on exit (5.5): content you own stays yours; licenses for Tebra-licensed content, including images, end at termination. You may export the site's text and overall structure, with details and pricing in Tebra's Pricing Policy.
- Domain (5.5.3): if Tebra registered your domain, it will take reasonable measures to assign its rights to you; if you provided the domain, you keep it.
- Data (8.6): Tebra says it has no obligation to provide "Customer Information" on termination, keeps it for 60 days, and may give access on request.
BAA. Tebra's security page (opens in a new tab) says that "through our business associate agreement, Tebra commits to maintaining the highest levels of HIPAA-compliant safeguards."

Who it fits best
When Tebra is the better fit
- You want one vendor for the practice. EHR, billing, scheduling, patient messaging and marketing from the same company, with one support relationship.
- You already run Tebra's EHR or billing. Adding marketing keeps bookings, intake and reminders inside a system your staff already knows.
- You want people to do the work. Tebra describes done-for-you ads, expert-led SEO and expert-managed social media.
- You're comfortable with a term contract. A defined term with auto-renewal suits practices that plan to stay for the long run.
A practice that wants to keep its current EHR, prefers month-to-month terms, or mainly needs a better website and Google visibility may compare the models below.
Alternatives by model
| Model | What you typically get | How it's priced | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| EHR suite with marketing (Tebra) | Website, SEO, ads, reviews and listings tied to the EHR | Quote, by providers and features | Term length, auto-renewal, website export terms |
| Practice website and marketing vendor | A managed website plus SEO, ads and reputation services | Usually a quote; setup fees vary | Who owns the design, content and domain |
| Full-service agency | Custom strategy, creative and campaign management | Retainer or project fees | Minimum terms, ad-spend billing |
| DIY website builder | A site you build and maintain yourself | Monthly or annual plan | Your time; HIPAA limits on forms |
| AI marketing platform | Software that runs the website, SEO and ads with approvals | Published monthly price | What still needs your team |
DoctorLogic, now branded Yapi + DoctorLogic, lists medical website design, SEO, content, Google Ads and reputation management (opens in a new tab) among its services; see DoctorLogic alternatives. Dental practices often weigh ProSites too; see ProSites alternatives.
Where Medfy fits
Medfy is an AI marketing platform, and it doesn't provide EHR or billing software. The base plan is $349/month: your website rebuilt and hosted on your own domain, automated SEO, AI visibility tracking, first-party analytics, Google reporting, an AI CMO dashboard and a patient CRM and inbox. Add-ons are Google Ads management at $199/month, Meta ads and AI creatives at $199/month, and a HIPAA AI chat widget at $49/month. Ad spend is paid directly to Google and Meta. It's billed monthly, you can cancel anytime, and Medfy signs a BAA with each practice. Details are on Medfy pricing.
Switching: website, domain and data questions
If you're weighing a move away from a Tebra website, get these answers before you give notice:
- Dates. When does your current term end, and when is the 60-day non-renewal deadline?
- Domain. Who is the registrant? If Tebra registered it, ask how and when it will be transferred to you.
- Export. What does a website export include, in what format, and at what price under the Pricing Policy?
- Images and text. Which photos and articles are Tebra-licensed and must be replaced?
- Integrations. If your online booking is Tebra's, what replaces it on the new site, or does it stay?
- Data. What can you download, including leads, form submissions and reviews data, and for how long after termination?
- Search history. List every page URL now, so the new site can redirect each one.

Frequently asked questions
Is PatientPop the same as Tebra?
Yes, in effect. Tebra says Kareo and PatientPop joined forces in 2021 to form Tebra, and in an April 2, 2024 release it said the PatientPop website would stop operating and redirect visitors to Tebra.com. When we checked on October 23, 2026, patientpop.com still redirected to tebra.com. Tebra now sells practice marketing, including websites, SEO and reputation management, under its own name.
How much does PatientPop cost?
Tebra doesn't publish prices for its marketing or for any plan. Its pricing page says pricing varies with the number of providers and the platform features you need, and is tailored during a demo. Plans include Patient Experience + Marketing and Practice Automation. Ask for a written quote that separates the website, SEO, ads management and any setup or export fees.
Can I keep my website if I leave PatientPop?
Partly, under Tebra's terms effective July 1, 2026. Content you own stays yours, but licenses for Tebra-licensed content, including images, end at termination. You may export the site's text and overall structure, priced under Tebra's Pricing Policy. If Tebra registered your domain, it will take reasonable measures to assign it to you; a domain you provided stays yours.
