Brighter Vision builds websites for therapists and mental health practices, and it publishes its prices, which makes a fair comparison easier than with most vendors. This page skips the "Brighter Vision reviews" you'd find on review sites. It sets Brighter Vision's published plans beside Squarespace and Wix, with the detail that matters most for a therapy practice: what happens to the information a client types into your contact form.

What therapists need from a website
A therapist's site has a narrower job than a medical practice's. A prospective client wants to know whether you treat what they're dealing with, whether they can afford you, and whether contacting you is safe.
- Fit: who you work with, and a page for each specialty or modality, such as anxiety, couples work or EMDR.
- Logistics: fees, insurance or out-of-network details, the states where you're licensed, and telehealth.
- A private first contact: a short form that asks for a name and a way to reach them, not clinical history.
- Crisis information: a line telling visitors what to do in an emergency, including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (opens in a new tab), which people can call or text at 988 in the US.
- Ethics-aware features: testimonials are restricted for therapists. The APA Ethics Code (opens in a new tab), Standard 5.05, says psychologists don't solicit testimonials from current therapy clients or others vulnerable to undue influence. The ACA Code of Ethics (opens in a new tab), C.3.b, says counselors don't solicit them from current or former clients or others who may be vulnerable, and must discuss implications and obtain permission for any testimonial used. A site builder's "reviews" widget may not belong on your site.
Our guide to websites for therapists covers each page in detail.
Brighter Vision: what's included, as published
Brighter Vision's home page (opens in a new tab) describes custom websites and marketing for therapists, plus Rallio (social media and reviews), Brighter Insights (a rankings and analytics dashboard), paid media, SEO content and HIPAA-secure email through Hushmail. It says it serves health professionals worldwide except in the EU.
Its pricing page (opens in a new tab) lists four website plans:
| Plan | Monthly billing | Billed annually | Setup fee | Adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Start | $99/month | $78/month | $100 | Site built by a design team, unlimited support, one custom domain, hosting, SSL, pre-written content library, ready-to-use forms, two email addresses |
| Grow | $179/month | $143/month | $100 | Four more email addresses, Rallio social media tool |
| Flourish | $349/month | $299/month | None | HIPAA-compliant forms and five HIPAA secure email addresses by Hushmail, Rallio Core Insights Dashboard, GoodTherapy Pro membership, one optimized content page a month |
| Thrive & Prosper | Not listed | Not listed | None | SEO, content plans, programmatic ads and monthly reporting |
Other published prices: Hushmail email add-ons start at $14.99 a month, and paid media management is $125 a month plus 10% of the monthly ad budget. Its websites page (opens in a new tab) says domain registration or transfer is included at no extra cost. Last verified October 23, 2026.
Squarespace and Wix for therapists
Both are do-it-yourself builders: you choose a template, write the pages and maintain the site. That costs your time, not a designer's fee.
Squarespace. Plans are named Basic, Core and Advanced, and annual plans include one year of free domain registration, per its pricing page (opens in a new tab). Prices shown depend on your location and billing term, so check them in your region. Our page on is Squarespace HIPAA compliant goes deeper.
Wix. Wix has a free plan and paid plans including Light, Core, Business and Business Elite, per its plans page (opens in a new tab), which notes that prices and currency vary by location. Our page on is Wix HIPAA compliant covers its setup step by step.
HIPAA and contact forms: what to verify with each
A contact form on a therapist's site often collects something sensitive, even when it isn't asked for. What matters is whether the company storing that message will sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and is set up to protect it.
| Vendor | What its own pages say | Last verified |
|---|---|---|
| Brighter Vision | HIPAA email and secure web forms through Hushmail (opens in a new tab), with "a BAA ... signed with Hushmail." Its terms of service (opens in a new tab) (section 2.3(e)) say customers may not store HIPAA-regulated data on its services. | Oct 23, 2026 |
| Squarespace | BAA only for Acuity Scheduling (opens in a new tab) on Powerhouse or Premium plans; the form block can't be part of a HIPAA-compliant solution; it recommends linking to an external compliant service. | Oct 23, 2026 |
| Wix | HIPAA compliance available on Business, Plus, Elite, Business Elite and Enterprise plans (opens in a new tab); you sign Wix's BAA after activating PHI protection; old forms must be recreated; visitor analytics are hidden once it's on. | Oct 23, 2026 |
What to do with that:
- On Brighter Vision, use the Hushmail forms for anything a client might write about their health, not the standard site forms, and confirm the setup with Brighter Vision.
- On Squarespace, keep the form block for non-clinical messages only, or link to a separate form tool that signs a BAA.
- On Wix, turn on PHI protection and sign the BAA before collecting anything, then remove apps not on Wix's compliant list.
- Everywhere, keep tracking pixels off pages with forms. Our guide to HIPAA-compliant forms explains the options.
This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm how it applies to your practice with a qualified advisor.

Who each option fits
When Brighter Vision is the better fit
Brighter Vision is the better fit for a therapist who wants a designer to build the site, published prices, a therapy-specific content library and HIPAA email in one bill. The Start plan is a lower monthly cost than Medfy's base plan, and Flourish bundles Hushmail and a GoodTherapy Pro membership.
When Squarespace or Wix is the better fit
A solo therapist with a small caseload, a waitlist or a tight budget may be better served by a lower-cost DIY option. Squarespace or Wix plus a separate HIPAA form tool keeps costs down, as long as you're willing to write and update the site yourself.
Where Medfy fits
Medfy suits a group or growing practice that wants new clients from search and AI assistants. Its $349/month base plan rebuilds and hosts the site on your own domain, adds automated SEO, AI visibility tracking and first-party analytics, and includes HIPAA-compliant forms, with a BAA signed with each practice. It doesn't post to social media or run review requests. If you're curious how your current site scores first, run a free marketing audit.
Frequently asked questions
Is Brighter Vision HIPAA compliant?
It depends on which features you use. Brighter Vision's HIPAA option is Hushmail: encrypted email and secure web forms, with the BAA signed with Hushmail. Its Flourish plan includes HIPAA-compliant forms by Hushmail; other plans can add Hushmail from $14.99 a month. Its terms of service say customers may not store HIPAA-regulated data on its own services, so route anything clinical through Hushmail.
Can I build a therapist website on Squarespace?
Yes, for the public site. Squarespace says its form block can't be part of a HIPAA-compliant solution and recommends linking to an external compliant service for patient information. It signs a BAA only for Acuity Scheduling on its Powerhouse or Premium plans. Many therapists build the pages on Squarespace and send intake and contact requests to a separate tool that signs a BAA.
What should a therapist website include?
A clear statement of who you help and how, one page per specialty or modality, your fees or insurance details, where you're licensed and whether you offer telehealth, a short contact form that asks for no clinical details, and crisis information such as calling or texting 988 in the US. Skip client testimonials unless your ethics code and a signed authorization allow them.
