Medical marketing in Orlando runs on contradictions in the click data. "Allergist near me" costs 76% more here than nationally, while the same search costs about half the national price in Houston, Austin and Miami. "Invisalign" costs 27% less, while it carries a premium in most of the Texas and Southeast metros we cover. This page is for independent practices in the Orlando area, in the fastest-growing metro we cover in Florida. It shows what patients search, what each click costs here against national prices, who is moving in, the Florida rules on data, offers and referrals, and a budget to test.

Google Ads Keyword Planner data via DataForSEO, Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne DMA, 12-month average to Sep 2026. CPCs in USD.
A warning before any per-person math: this search market (a DMA, or TV market) takes in Daytona Beach and Melbourne, which the census counts as separate metros. That inflates the ratio of searches to metro population, so compare with care. Within the market itself, urgent care dominates: 74,000 monthly searches, more than twice the volume for "dentist near me". Chiropractic is also unusually heavy, at 12,100 searches, close to the 14,800 for dermatology. For side-by-side city figures, see patient search demand by city.

| therapist near me | $30.87 | $24.19 | +28% |
| dentist near me | $18.88 | $14.71 | +28% |

| physical therapy near me | $5.50 | $6.61 | −17% |

| invisalign | $7.41 | $10.15 | −27% |
| speech therapy near me | $6.74 | $11.47 | −41% |
Same source as the demand table; "allergist near me" and "speech therapy near me" from the same dataset.
What this means by practice type:
- Allergy: Orlando is an expensive market for allergists, the reverse of Houston, Miami or Austin, where the same search costs roughly half the national price.
- General dentistry: "dentist near me" carries a 28% premium, close to Miami's and Tampa's.
- Orthodontics and aligners: "invisalign" at $7.41 is the cheapest price for that search among the Texas and Southeast metros we cover, so an orthodontic or cosmetic dental office can buy aligner traffic at a discount.
- Chiropractic, physical and speech therapy: all below national prices, with healthy volume for chiropractic. These practices can lean on search ads more than most.
- Urgent care: huge volume at near-national prices, which keeps the auction competitive but not inflated.

Who your patients are: Orlando by the numbers
The Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford metro had 2,940,513 residents on July 1, 2024, up 9.7% since July 1, 2020 (U.S. Census Bureau, Vintage 2024 Population Estimates, Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area, via the Population Estimates Program (opens in a new tab)).
| Measure | Orlando metro | Marketing implication |
|---|---|---|
| Growth since 2020 | +9.7% | Faster than Tampa (+7.4%) or Miami (+5.3%). Many residents are still choosing a first local dentist, doctor or chiropractor |
| Hispanic or Latino (any race) | 34.7% | Consider Spanish-language service pages and ads; track them separately to see what they bring in |
| Aged 65 or older | 16.2% | A smaller senior share than Tampa or Miami; Medicare messaging belongs on specific service pages |
| Under 18 | 20.9% | Steady family demand for pediatrics, pediatric dentistry and orthodontics |
| Median age | 38.7 | Younger than Tampa Bay or Miami; mobile booking and click-to-call matter |
| Asian (non-Hispanic) | 5.0% | Listing clinicians' languages helps patients choose |
Growth is the variable that matters most here. New residents arrive without a provider and shortlist from Google Maps, reviews and, increasingly, AI assistants, so your listing and website have to be complete before an ad budget can pay off.
Florida rules that shape practice marketing
Fast-growing practices add online forms, booking tools and offers quickly. Florida's data-security and advertising statutes apply to all of them, alongside HIPAA.
Patient data on your website: s. 501.171
Section 501.171, F.S. (opens in a new tab), Florida's data-security law, applies to any business that acquires, maintains, stores or uses personal information, and it lists among that information "any information regarding an individual's medical history, mental or physical condition" and health insurance policy or subscriber numbers. In practice:
- Protect it. Take reasonable measures to secure the data in electronic form, and dispose of records you no longer keep by shredding or erasing them.
- Notify fast. Tell affected individuals no later than 30 days after you determine a breach occurred. A breach affecting 500 or more Floridians also goes to the Department of Legal Affairs within 30 days, and one requiring notice to more than 1,000 people at once triggers notice to credit reporting agencies.
- Hold vendors to 10 days. A vendor that holds data for you must notify you within 10 days of determining a breach, and its failure to give proper notice counts against you.
- Know the penalties. Late notice can cost $1,000 a day for the first 30 days, then $50,000 per 30-day period, up to $500,000 per breach. There is no private lawsuit under the statute.
New intake forms, chat tools and booking widgets each add a vendor to this list.
Free and discounted offers: s. 456.062
Offers such as "free consultation" or "$29 first visit" (illustrative) are a staple of chiropractic, dental and med spa advertising. Florida requires any such ad from a practitioner licensed under the chapters the statute (opens in a new tab) lists (including medicine, chiropractic, dentistry and psychology) to state, in capital letters set apart from the rest of the text, that the patient has the right to refuse to pay, cancel payment or be reimbursed for any other service performed as a result of, and within 72 hours of, responding to the ad.
Referrals and claims: ss. 817.505, 458.331, 458.3312
- Patient brokering. Paying or accepting a commission, bonus, rebate, kickback or split fee to induce referrals is a felony for anyone, providers included, with fines from $50,000 to $500,000 depending on how many patients are involved (s. 817.505 (opens in a new tab)). There is no general advertising exception, so review lead-generation contracts priced per patient.
- Physician advertising. False, deceptive or misleading advertising, kickbacks and split fees, and soliciting patients through fraud, intimidation or undue influence are grounds for discipline (s. 458.331(1) (opens in a new tab)).
- Board certification. "Board-certified" claims require recognition from an American Board of Medical Specialties member board or a Board-approved agency (s. 458.3312 (opens in a new tab)).

The channels in order for an Orlando practice
- Google Business Profile and Maps. Newcomers in Kissimmee, Sanford and Winter Park search the map first. Keep categories, services, hours and languages accurate. See Google Business Profile for practices.
- Your website. One page per service, with offers carrying the 72-hour statement and forms built so patient data stays secured.
- AI assistants. New residents ask ChatGPT and Gemini questions like "best chiropractor in Winter Park" (illustrative example). See local AI search for what those answers rely on.
- Paid search. Strong value for chiropractic, physical therapy, speech therapy and aligners. Allergy and therapy practices should cap bids and lean on organic visibility.
- Meta ads. Good for elective services and new-resident awareness, with copy that describes the service rather than implying the viewer's condition.
A sample monthly budget for an Orlando practice
Hypothetical arithmetic: a chiropractic office spends $1,000 a month on searches like "chiropractor near me" at the local average of $8.10 a click, which buys about 123 clicks. Assumption 1: 12% of clicks call or book, about 15 contacts. Assumption 2: 70% of those attend a first visit, about 10 new patients a month, or roughly $100 of ad spend per new patient. At the national average of $10.02, the same budget would buy about 100 clicks.
Change the two rates to match your front desk and booking data. If you run a discounted first-visit offer, the 72-hour statement has to appear in the ad and on the landing page.
How Medfy works for Orlando practices
Medfy is software, not an Orlando agency. It has no local office, and every practice pays the same $349 a month for the base plan: a rebuilt, fast website on your own domain with a page per service, structured data and HIPAA-compliant forms; weekly SEO articles you approve; first-party analytics for calls, forms, bookings and directions; and an AI CMO dashboard with a weekly brief by email. Add-ons are Google Ads management ($199/month), Meta ads with AI creatives ($199/month) and a HIPAA AI chat widget ($49/month). See Medfy pricing.
Every week Medfy asks ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews patient questions, which can include local ones such as "best dentist in Orlando" (illustrative), and shows who gets named. Form submissions are stored in separate, encrypted HIPAA databases, and Medfy signs a BAA with your practice before any patient data flows. Do I need a local marketing agency in Orlando?
Not for the work that wins most new patients: your Google listing, website, search ads and AI-assistant visibility can be managed remotely. A local agency helps with on-site photography or events. More important than location is whether your marketer knows Florida's offer and data-breach rules, reports booked patients by source, and signs a BAA.

Florida's data-security law requires breach notices within 30 days and treats medical and insurance details as protected personal information. Ads offering free or discounted services, including chiropractic exams, must carry a capitalized 72-hour statement. Paying for patient referrals is a felony under the patient brokering law. HIPAA applies on top. This is general information, not legal advice.
